In the PIONEER AF-PCI trial, two different dosing regimens containing rivaroxaban [rivaroxaban 15 mg with a P2Y12 inhibitor (rivaroxaban 10 mg in patients with a CrCl of 30–50 ml/min), or a P2Y12 inhibitor with rivaroxaban 2.5 mg twice daily and aspirin] were examined with standard triple therapy [VKAs and dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT)] (Gibson et al., 2016). This evidence concerns the gene P2RY12 and atrial fibrillation.
