These data confirm recent findings of Ivonne Wence-Chavez et al. [24], who performed a global transcriptome analysis in a setting similar to ours and found that transcript levels of WNT3A, LRP6, TCF7L2, and FRA-1 (Fos-related antigen 1) were significantly higher in CRC cells of diabetic individuals compared to non-diabetic controls. This evidence concerns the gene TCF7L2 and colorectal carcinoma.
