The result displayed significant increase in C9 levels in the serum samples of metastatic CRC patients when compared to those of non-metastatic CRC patients (p-value = 0.0047) and those of healthy controls (p-value < 0.0001), and there was no difference of C9 serum level between non-metastatic CRC and healthy controls (p-value = 0.3560).
