The genes overlapping the most hypermethylated CGIs found in colon primary tumour compared to NAT were LMO1, RP11-834C11.12, MAN1A2P1, HTRA3 and ESR1. The most enriched GO terms in primary tumour were related with learning and behaviour, highlighting major differences with NAT in mesenchyme development and stem cell differentiation, as described in literature [42]. The gene discussed is BRD2; the disease is neoplasm.
