Another study documented that the expression of lncRNA ZFAS1 in cytoplasm and sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) increased significantly in mice with myocardial infarction caused by coronary artery occlusion, and in a cell model of hypoxia; lncR‐ZFAS1 binds to SERCA2a (Ca2+ATP enzyme 2a of sarcoplasmic reticulum) directly and inhibits the activity of it in molecular level.26 The gene discussed is ZFAS1; the disease is myocardial infarction.
