Most recently, a study showed that the MS immunomodulatory drug Dimethyl Fumarate (DMF) inhibits the glycolysis enzyme GAPDH in activated myeloid and lymphoid cells, both in vitro and in vivo in mice and humans [69], showing inhibition of abnormal glycolysis and glucose metabolism might be one way to modulate pathology in activated immune cells in MS.
