The administration of the C-X3-C motif chemokine ligand 1 (CX3CL1), also known as fractalkine, to murine models of cerebral infarction, suppresses the expression of genes related to the glycolytic pathway, upregulates genes related to OXPHOS, and changes microglia toward an anti-inflammatory population [47]. Here, CX3CL1 is linked to cerebral infarction.
