The objective of the present clinical performance study was to examine the equivalency of specificity and sensitivity in measuring serum GDF15 concentrations between a commercially available enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit and a novel latex‐enhanced turbidimetric immunoassay (LTIA) device used as a frontline indicator of individuals with suspected MDs in the general population. The gene discussed is GDF15; the disease is myelodysplastic syndrome.
