An increase in cardiac c-fos levels is also seen in angiotensin II-induced inflammatory damage in the LV [48], and considering that an increase in angiotensin II signaling is observed in the RV during PAH [49], it is possible to consider that c-fos is related to inflammatory pathways in RV remodeling and dysfunction in PAH.
