SIRT1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis: We herein demonstrate that overexpression of miR-29a ameliorates methionine–choline-deficient (MCD) diet-induced NASH through inhibition of glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK3β) by binding to its mRNA 3′UTR, leading to restoring imbalanced SIRT1 (sirtuin 1)-mediated mitochondrial biogenesis and proteostatic stress.
