ALB and multiple sclerosis: PET imaging with albumin-bound [68Ga]ABY-028 might be a useful tool for identifying the time window for the acute cerebral leakage of albumin, for studying the ability of anti-vasogenic edema drugs to prevent abnormal leakage of albumin and similar size substances into the brain [71] and for predicting the probability that albumin-ABD-based therapeutics can enter the brain in this and potentially also in other neurological disorders such as epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia, traumatic brain injury, and inflammation.
