MYH11 and neoplasm: Interestingly, candidate genes with a possible tumor-suppressor function were common among the high-IRS genes: CASP5 (apoptosis induction; IRS: 17.15%), TTK (maintenance of chromosomal stability; IRS: 12.38%), TCF7L2 (beta-catenin signaling; IRS: 11.32%), MYH11 (cell structure and proliferation; IRS: 11.11%), and BANP (migration and invasiveness; IRS: 10.73%) were all previously reported in the literature46–54.
