ALB and acute kidney injury: The major findings of this study were as follows: (1) HH was a frequent complication after ECPR; (2) various biomarkers for hepatic dysfunction such as low albumin and prolonged INR were associated with in-hospital mortality, but bilirubin was not; (3) age and acute kidney injury requiring CRRT were predictors for development of HH after ECPR; and (4) HH was associated with increased in-hospital mortality and poor neurological outcomes.
