We found that the percentages of α2,3 SA+ CD14+ B cells in the H5N1 infection were 0.430±0.36%, 4.04±0.99% and 4.92±1.68% at 0, 12, 24 hours, respectively, and were significantly higher than in the mock infection (0.13±0.13%, 0.52±0.438 and 0.76±.26% at 0, 12, 24 hours, respectively) (Fig 3G). This evidence concerns the gene CD14 and infection.
