In vitro study showed that upon simultaneous binding to BCMA+ MM cells and CD3+ T cells, AMG 420 induced crosslinking of both cell types, formation of a cytolytic synapse and subsequently activation of T cells, and release of cytokines (IFNγ, IL-2, IL-6, IL-10, TNFα) in a dose-dependent manner, leading to lysis of BCMA+ MM cells. This evidence concerns the gene TNFRSF17 and Miyoshi myopathy.
