Several genes among the Kelch-like family members are involved in nemaline myopathy; Kelch-like protein 40 (KLHL40) decreases thin filament protein stability [95], KBTBD13 disorganises the Z-disc [96], and Kelch-like protein 41 (KLHL41) impacts on nebulin degradation [97, 98]. Here, KLHL41 is linked to nemaline myopathy.
