TNF and asthma: It has been widely accepted that inflammatory cells, such as eosinophils and mast cells (Doherty and Croft 2011; Galli et al. 2011; Kim et al. 2010), as well as various cytokines, including TNF-α and IL-6, take part in the airway inflammatory response of asthma (Doganci et al. 2005; Rameshwar et al. 2014; Rincon and Irvin 2012).
