CYP2J2 and cardiac hypertrophy: Ophiopogonin, the active component of Radix Ophiopogonis, is the largest component (54.5%) of YQFM; it has been demonstrated to be effective in inhibiting endoplasmic reticulum stress and reducing myocardial cell apoptosis by upregulating cytochrome P450 2J2 and epoxyeicosatrienoic acids, which can further inhibit myocardial hypertrophy, stabilize myocardial cell membrane, and improve positive inotropic action [45].
