Another mechanism by which MSCs may exert effects on autoimmune diseases in the short and long term is their induction of regulatory B cells (Bregs), especially types that promote the secretion of interleukin (IL)-10, which promote B cells to exhibit immunosuppressive functions and modulate the immune environment homeostasis of patients with autoimmune diseases or solid organ transplantation such kidney transplantation and liver transplantation.
