Numerous molecular and neuropathological disorders have been described in AD, such as tau hyperphosphorylation (Sierra-Fonseca and Gosselink, 2018), modification of Ca2+ signaling pathways (Glaser et al., 2019), and Aβ accumulation (Naseri et al., 2019), leading to neuronal and synaptic disorders (Cardozo et al., 2019). This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and Alzheimer disease.
