Given that XKR9 (XK related 9) could be the gene directly regulated by one or more of the transcription factors (FOXA2, RXRA, HNF4A, YY1, ZNF644, FOXA1, SP1, SOX13, and HNF4G) through one or more of the SNPs (multiple SNPs around chr8:71579362 and chr8:71917527) to cause some of the observed cancer racial disparities, we conducted literature search to find more about the links between XKR9 and cancer. Here, FOXA1 is linked to cancer.
