The Sirt1‐mediated activation of AMPK/Nrf2 signal molecules by acacetin plays an important role in rescuing and antagonizing myocardial injury induced by the anti‐cancer drug doxorubicin, which indicates that this natural flavone is likely a promising drug candidate for preventing the cardiotoxicity in patients undergoing doxorubicin chemotherapy. This evidence concerns the gene SIRT1 and cancer.
