In our present study, we confirmed the role of LINC00470 as an oncogene in gliomas and found that LINC00470 acts as competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) to inhibit miR‐134 to further regulate the expression of the oncogene MYC. We also found a positive correlation between the expression of MYC and the expression of ATP‐binding cassette subfamily C member 1 (ABCC1, also known as multidrug resistance protein 1) in gliomas and that LINC00470 affected the chemosensitivity of glioma cells by regulating the expression of ABCC1 by interacting with miR‐134. This evidence concerns the gene MYC and central nervous system cancer.
