IGF1R and endometrial cancer: Elevated IGF1R expression was observed in 91.3% of endometrial cancers, consistent with the key role of the IGF in cancer progression, IGF1R and IGF2 levels were much higher in advanced stage malignant tissue compared to early stages or endometrial hyperplasia, which indicated that over-expression of the IGF1R and IGF2 genes are associated with poor outcome in endometrial cancer 23.
