Furthermore, we also observed a positive correlation in gene expression between the CREB and TrkB, as well as the correlation between PSD95 protein expression level and the percentage of latency to fall in the 3-AP + 25 mg/kg H.E. group, suggesting BDNF/TrkB/CREB and PSD95 have important roles in H. erinaceus rescue of the behavioural motor impairments in 3-AP-induced cerebellar ataxia. This evidence concerns the gene BDNF and aceruloplasminemia.
