TGM2 and celiac disease: Together with the high specificity of modern serological tests, the aforesaid challenges have led to the introduction of new pediatric guidelines for diagnosing celiac disease, enabling a non-biopsy diagnosis in selected children with anti-transglutaminase 2 antibodies (TGA) > 10× the upper limit of normal (ULN) and positive anti-endomysial antibodies (EmA) [5].
