A high PRIM1 level in HCC was significantly associated with stage (OR = 1.75 [1.07-2.89] for I-II vs. III-IV; p = 0.026), grade (OR = 2.27 [1.47-3.55] for G1-G2 vs. G3-G4; p < 0.001), and AFP level (OR = 2.45 [1.37-4.49] for ≤400 ng/ml vs. >400 ng/ml; p = 0.003). The gene discussed is AFP; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
