Participants with the presence of CAN had significantly higher systemic levels of IL-1α, IL-4, CCL2, and E-selectin, than those with no CAN, whereas the systemic levels of IL-1β, IL-12p70, IL-13, IL-17A, TNF-α, CXCL10, CCL3, CCL4, P-selectin, and ICAM-1, though all are numerically higher, did not statically differ (Figure 1).
