Hypersensitivity to hydrophobic antibiotics was associated with mutation in bfmR, which controls transcription of genes involved in OM synthesis27 as well as in three additional genes with highly correlated phenotypic signatures—lpsB, lpxLAb, and pbpG (group 1, Fig. 4a, r = 0.74–0.82, p < 10−5). This evidence concerns the gene SELENBP1 and ocular melanoma.
