One study involving 86 patients with HCC [28] showed that there was no significant difference in the levels of CD3+ T lymphocytes and CD4+ T lymphocytes or the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ T lymphocytes between the two groups before chemotherapy (P > 0.05), while all three indicators increased significantly in both groups after treatment compared with before (P < 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
