Recent studies reveal that miRNAs may act as oncogenes or suppressor genes in BC by participating in different cellular pathways (15, 16), including via targeting AQP1. Lately, miR-3194-3p was found significantly downregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tissues and cell lines, which was associated with metastasis and recurrence of HCC through targeting BCL9 (17). Here, AQP1 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
