The cumulative line of evidence suggest that curcumin can modulate various targets involved in obesity and metabolic diseases including, suppression of NF-κB and its regulation inflammatory cytokines (Singh and Aggarwal, 1995), IKK (Aggarwal et al., 2006), JNK (Wang et al., 2009). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
