HDAC11 and hepatocellular carcinoma: However, some limitations presented in our current work: (1) the specific regulators causing promoter hypomethylation need to be further mined; (2) the downstream key targets or pathways (drug metabolism cytochrome P450) of HDAC11 in HCC need to be further investigated; (3) in vivo experiments should be performed to further validate the roles of miR-145-5p/HDAC11 axis in sorafenib resistance and metastasis of HCC in the future; and (4) the effect of 5’-Aza-2’-deoxycytidine treatment or HDAC11 methylation dysregulation in sorafenib resistance and metastasis of HCC should be deeply studied.
