Following oral LmOVA infection, H2-Kb-SIINFEKL-tetramer-positive cells were largely CD69+ (significantly more than tetramer negative CD8+ cells, p < 0.0001 for all groups with the exception of 108 LmOVA) (Fig. 2e), and were readily detectable in tissues up to 50 days post infection, indicating that these cells represent bona fide Trm. Here, CD69 is linked to infection.
