Moreover, high coexpression of UBE2C/CD44, UBE2C/CD166 and UBE2C/EpCAM genes (Table 3) was associated with overall survival and recurrence in oral cancer patients including TSCC patients from TCGA database, indicating that UBE2C might be involved in controlling cancer stemness of OSCC. Here, CD44 is linked to lip and oral cavity carcinoma.
