IL10 and Sjogren syndrome: Studies focused on the salivary cytokine levels in patients diagnosed with primary Sjögren’s syndrome and the study performed by Ohyama et al. [21] reported a significantly higher concentration of Th1 cytokines (IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, TNF, IFN- γ, and IL-1α) and Th2 cytokines (IL-10, IL-5, and IL-4) in the saliva of the included patients diagnosed with Sjögren’s syndrome.
