HCRTR1 and Anxiety: In rats, after administration of the anxiogenic inverse benzodiazepine agonist FG-714215, a selective OX1R antagonist blocked cellular responses in panic and anxiety brain circuits, and imaging data indicated that a selective OX1R antagonist produced a region-dependent inhibition of yohimbine-induced activation in fronto-hippocampal regions as well as in several key components of the extended amygdala7.
