BRIP1, also known as Fanconi Anaemia Group J Protein (FANCJ) or BRCA1‐associated C‐terminal helicase (BACH1), was first identified using tandem mass spectrometry by its physical interaction with BRCA1 and also belongs to the Fanconi anaemia (FA) genes family.8 The gene discussed is BRIP1; the disease is Fanconi anemia.
