A diet containing isoflavones also suppressed BC growth via inducing apoptotic pathways (i.e., up‐regulating Bax, Caspase‐3, and p53 genes), blocking and reducing estrogen production, and decreasing reactive oxygen species (ROS) formation (Uifălean, Schneider, Ionescu, Lalk, & Iuga, 2016). The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is breast cancer.
