To determine if olive oil intake affected markers of toll-like receptor 4 (Tlr4) signaling shown to be critical in the development of NAFLD [40, 41], expression of Tlr4, myeloid differentiation factor 88 (Myd88) and lipopolysaccharide binding protein (Lbp) were assessed in liver tissue of animals.
