Network analysis revealed over-representation of genes involved in pathways related to glucose metabolism disorder (Irs1, Cish, Pdk4, Rgs2, Xpo1), inflammation (Cish, Nr1d1, Dusp10, Pde8a, Tp53inp1, Pdk4, ubiquitin), accumulation of lipid (Nr1d1, Lpin1, Pdk4) and adipocyte differentiation (Nr1d1, Lpin1, Rgs2, Irs1, Cpxm1), all of which are implicated in MG-induced transcriptome alterations (Figure 3). This evidence concerns the gene NR1D1 and glucose metabolism disease.
