There was no significant difference in age between patients groups (p = 0.7243), with median ages of 66 (Interquartile Range (IR): 64.75–71.50) and 66 (IR: 63.50–76.50) for patients with PCa and BPH, respectively, whereas the median prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels differed significantly (PSA level of 19.9 ng/mL (IR: 13.38–39.35) and 0.9 ng/mL (IR: 0.78–1.58) for patients with cancer diagnosis and benign pathology, respectively, p = 0.0009). Here, KLK3 is linked to benign prostatic hyperplasia.
