Notably, mutations in ARID1A have been reported in up to 14% of cholangiocarcinomas (CCAs) [61], and interestingly, ARID1A—a chromatin remodeler of the SWI/SNF (Switch/Sucrose Non-Fermentable) family—probably contributes to recruiting and stabilizing the SWI/SNF complex at DSBs, thus regulating the DNA damage checkpoint [62,63]. Here, ARID1A is linked to cholangiocarcinoma.
