ZNF331, as a tumor suppressor gene, has also been reported to have low expression in colorectal cancer (Wang et al., 2017), esophageal cancer (Jiang et al., 2015), gastric cancer (Yu et al., 2013), and liver cancer (Wang et al., 2013), and its low expression is related to hypermethylation of its promoter region. The gene discussed is ZNF331; the disease is gastric cancer.
