In some cases, the diagnosis of autoimmune diseases preceded the diagnosis of MC.[4] Several auto-antibodies can also be found in MC patients, such as rheumatoid factor, ANA, anti-mitochondrial antibodies, anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies, anti-saccharomyces cerevisiae antibodies, and anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies.[4] This indicates that MC is associated with immune diseases. Here, BTG3 is linked to autoimmune disease.
