Importantly, the downregulation of Myc induced by circ-LRP6 knockdown was significantly abolished by silencing of miR-182, and either overexpression of Myc or knockdown of miR-182 could rescued the attenuated malignant phenotype caused by circ-LRP6 depletion, suggesting that the circ-LRP6/miR-182/Myc axis does exist and function in ESCC. The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
