NFKB1 and psoriasis: Oxidative stress in psoriasis leads to the activation of many signaling pathways (including NF-κB and MAPK) and, consequently, to the activation of Th1 and Th17 cells, the secretion of proinflammatory cytokines, then to hyperproliferation of keratinocytes, infiltration of immune cells into the skin, and changes in the permeability of blood vessels through lipid peroxidation.
