CRP and mastitis: Milk CRP (Table 2) concentrations were significantly higher (p < 0.05) in samples from cows with E. coli or K. pneumoniae infections; moderate for mastitis caused by Staph. aureus, environmental Streptococcus, and Mycoplasma spp.; and significantly lower (p < 0.05) in mastitis caused by Enterococcus spp.
