In saying that, it is important to note that there were three variants in this study that were associated with African American breast cancer risk, ATM c.2289T>C (p.F763L), which is a VUS, and two other variants currently classified as likely benign, BRCA2 c.2926_2927delinsAT (p.S976I) and RAD51D c.251T>A (p.L84H). The gene discussed is BRCA2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
