GPX3 and ischemic stroke: In univariate linear regression analysis, the mean CIMT level was significantly associated with age (β = .243, p = .002), smoking (β = .145, p = .023), previous ischemic stroke (β = .141, p = .027), previous coronary heart disease (β = .182, p = .004), body mass index (β = .144, p = .024), low‐density lipoprotein (β = .207, p = .004), hs‐CRP (β = .178, p = .005), HCY (β = .199, p = .004), HbA1c (β = .173, p = .007), and GPx3 activity (β = −.455, p = .003).
